Subject: The NUT ( NebraskaUltimateTournament) is back in motion.. How does the weekend of July 15-16 work for everyone? My goal is to pinpoint the date with two months to plan ahead. I've already got the GI (Grand Island) connection rolling on food and beverage donations. We've got fields set up and they are groomed soccer fields adjacent to the last operational horse track in the state. Subject: NebraskaTourney Postponed

The tournament for Grand Island a week from today is gonna be postponed until the Summer.I was way too optimistic to think that I could pull this tourney off in just over month (especially in the winter). I wanted to make sure that this tourney is able to give those attending, the positive experience that it can.. And, as of now we're only able to guarantee 3 teams attending. Couple that with some chilly temps, it's not gonna benefit anyone the way that it could if we wait and hold it over the summer. I'm sure we can all agree that we want to improve the state of Ultimate across Nebraska; a tourney like this will go a long way to get the buzz out. With patience, we can make a bigger splash. So, I'm gonna put my efforts into organizing a more well thought out event which will offer those attending something better.

I'm sorry for getting everyone's hopes up, my hope was to pull this off before Spring breaks and the college tournament season. It's not gonna happen to the capacity I want to give you all.

The all Nebraska Team tournament that Wendell mentioned is on! It's gonna be February 26th, the last Sunday in February, in Grand Island. (Click here then click \"Search\" to get a map of Grand Island.) (Note: Google maps claims that it is only: "152 mi (about 2 hours 41 mins)" from Omaha to Grand Island.) In trying to work around Spring Break and College Sectionals, this date was the most realistic. It won't be more than $50 per team, more than likely it will be less. Teams from Omaha, Lincoln, Grand Island and Kearney will be participating. It sounds like there should be at least 5-6 teams but there could be as many as 9 teams if all show up.
